Hot Mulled Cider
Makes: 1 gallon
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
- 1 gallon cider
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 8 to 10 3-inch cinnamon sticks
- 10 to 15 whole allspice berries
- 20 to 25 whole clove
Instructions
- In a six quart kettle, bring all the ingredients for boiling; simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes. Strain through a double layer of cheesecloth (or ladle out carefully, which is what I do).
- Refrigerate the cider until needed (but take spices out first for this).
- Reheat for serving
